My Earth Day project . . . kinda
The old laptop now has a new operating system and a new home (table).   Since the battery doesn’t hold a charge, and the keyboard has a few non-functioning keys, it’s no longer very portable.  But, with an outlet and an external keyboard, it’s ready to go.

Wasting my time
I installed Xubuntu (Linux) on my old Toshiba laptop, and it is good. Admittedly, this is only day two, but the installation went well and the applications seem to work. I even got wifi and network printing working in record time. Now the old laptop has an up-to-date [...]
